By The One Show
The reputable better half to the BBC’s hit journal express, The One express e-book of precise Tales is a compilation of the quirkiest, strangest, such a lot random and so much attention-grabbing tales pulled from the brains of Icon Film’s One exhibit examine desk.
Did you recognize that Michael Jackson was made an honorary director of Exeter urban soccer team?
Or that Muhammad Ali owed a piece of his fortune to his love of Ovaltine?
Have you ever heard of Victorian jiu jitsu professional Edith Garrud, who joined forces with Emmeline Pankhurst and coined the time period ‘Suffrajitsu’?
Full of evidence and trivialities nuggets, and ideal for fans of common wisdom and pub quizzers, the tales during this publication are surprisingly British – a party of ancient and modern British eccentricity, innovation, bravery and sheer chutzpah – and pack as a lot ‘water-cooler’ punch as their filmed equivalents featured within the show.
With stories starting from the inspiring to the downright strange, the publication contains 100 tales that experience made it to the monitor within the final ten years, boasting additional proof and figures that enthusiasts won't are looking to miss.
