Dot Com Lifestyle

Instead of going for the normal Vietnamese beef noodle soup like we do every Saturday for Dot Com Pho, we decided to try something totally different by paying to cook our own food. Normally, when you go to a restaurant, the chef cooks the food for you. However, at Seven Star Pepper Szechwan Restaurant in Seattle’s International District, they have something call the Hot Pot.

A Hot Pot, less commonly known as Chinese fondue or steamboat, refers to several East Asian varieties of stew, consisting of a simmering metal pot of stock at the center of the dining table. While the hot pot is kept simmering, ingredients are placed into the pot and are cooked at the table.

Now that everyone is back from Las Vegas, the first Dot Com Pho of 2011 happened today in Vancouver at Happy Pho at 4136 Main Street. As you can guess, Brian the owner was very happy to see us again. We had two brand new attendees this week; Tony Kwan of The Lifestyle Design Blog and Emmet Gibney of Badminton Life.

Last night was the Affilate Summit Tip-Off party at the Hardwood suite of the Palms Hotel. The party started at 10PM but there was a VIP reception at 9PM for special guests. I had a private area directly under the hoop of the basketball court. Syed even created a foursquare location for it. He didn’t tell anyone about it so he became the mayor.

Share A Sale celebrated 10 years in the affiliate marketing industry with a blow out party at Tryst nightclub last night. In typical Share A Sale style, the party was go big or go home. They booked out the entire nightclub, set up a big table of food and open the bar to every drink in the house. Believe me, you don’t want to know how much this party cost.

Hey Everyone. We’re expecting a ton of industry all stars at tonight’s Affiliate Summit Tip-Off Party and we don’t want you to miss out.

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas held its first-ever Cocktail Hour Tweetup of 2011 at Droog. Guests were be treated to a VIP art experience of unique art and design, drinks and a specialty cocktail, and even had a chance to win a Tesla Roadster sport car… for a day.

The Purpose Inc. poker tournament at Affiliate Summit West 2011 is a two day event that pits the best affiliate marketers (but worst poker players) in the world against each other in a friendly game (only $100 buy in) of Texas Holdem Poker. While a few players may take it seriously, the event is more to just network, relax and get to know your fellow affiliates. In addition to the poker action, players could get massages at the table and dine on super big In and Out burgers.

After checking out the surfing at the Wave House, we headed over to Mitch’s Seafood in Point Loma to try the best grilled fish sandwich in San Diego. Mitch’s Seafood is a local favorite. It’s a bit hard to find but well worth the search.

Affiliate Summit West start this weekend in Las Vegas and that means this is your last chance to RSVP to the Affiliate Summit Tip-Off Party. This is the party of ASW and we’re expecting a full house. Actually, we’re expecting more than full house. Make sure you get there early so you won’t have to line up at the door!
