I’m pretty sure most of you know that video is the way of the future. More and more blogs are featuring videos and I’m seeing an even bigger trend towards video in sales pages. The Magic Bullet System 2.0 launch that Amish did last week featured just a video and order button. There was no sales copy. How well did the video sales page do? Amish generated $1.1 million in the first 24 hours and $3.2 million by the time he closed the doors a week later. That’s pretty amazing stuff.

Instead of going for the normal Vietnamese beef noodle soup like we do every Saturday for Dot Com Pho, we decided to try something totally different by paying to cook our own food. Normally, when you go to a restaurant, the chef cooks the food for you. However, at Seven Star Pepper Szechwan Restaurant in Seattle’s International District, they have something call the Hot Pot.

A Hot Pot, less commonly known as Chinese fondue or steamboat, refers to several East Asian varieties of stew, consisting of a simmering metal pot of stock at the center of the dining table. While the hot pot is kept simmering, ingredients are placed into the pot and are cooked at the table.

After a super long wait and way too many teaser videos, Pagani Automobili has finally removed the wrappings on their latest and greatest supercar. The Pagani Huayra replaces the outgoing Pagani Zonda. Those who have been around long enough will remember that this blog featured two beautiful blue Zonda F in the header and a silver Zonda F was used in the first UBD redesign.

Now that everyone is back from Las Vegas, the first Dot Com Pho of 2011 happened today in Vancouver at Happy Pho at 4136 Main Street. As you can guess, Brian the owner was very happy to see us again. We had two brand new attendees this week; Tony Kwan of The Lifestyle Design Blog and Emmet Gibney of Badminton Life.

I had a chance to swing by the offices of Hootsiuite today and have coffee with its head owl, Ryan Holmes.

Yesterday was the last day of Affiliate Summit West and it was a blast. As I was getting ready to fly home, I got an email from Amish Shah (who’s business partner Jay was at ASW) telling me that he just leaked perhaps the most valuable piece of resource for Internet Marketers.

It’s called the $10,000,000 Traffic Rolodex.

Last night was the Affilate Summit Tip-Off party at the Hardwood suite of the Palms Hotel. The party started at 10PM but there was a VIP reception at 9PM for special guests. I had a private area directly under the hoop of the basketball court. Syed even created a foursquare location for it. He didn’t tell anyone about it so he became the mayor.

The exhibit hall at the 2011 Affiliate Summit 2011 in Las Vegas is where all the action takes place. With record breaking attendance, the 2011 ASW was the biggest show to date. The exhibit hall was buzzing with activities. There were over 100 booths competing to get the attention of the show attendees.

WPBeginner is a WordPress resource site which was founded by Syed Balkhi in July 2009. The main goal of this site is to provide quality tips, tricks, hacks, and other resources for the WordPress community. Because most other WordPress sites are maintained by developers, there was a lack of focus on beginners. At WPBeginner, Syed explains each tutorial thoroughly, so users of all levels can understand it.

Share A Sale celebrated 10 years in the affiliate marketing industry with a blow out party at Tryst nightclub last night. In typical Share A Sale style, the party was go big or go home. They booked out the entire nightclub, set up a big table of food and open the bar to every drink in the house. Believe me, you don’t want to know how much this party cost.
